McAdory Elementary Enjoys Invertebrates and Vertebrates

May 6, 2011

Sport Fish Restoration

Invertebrates are fun to watch. Look at this aquatic snail.   Crayfish and mussels are invertebrates too.
Vertebrates are fun to catch. Look a bluegill.

This largemouth bass is a little guy, however in the correct environment it may grow larger.

What on earth is that? Let's take a closer look. It has barbels and no scales.
Let's take a look at the other side. This is a channel catfish.       Fish are really cool.
Today we learned a lot about fish and their environment. Mr. Jackson mentioned that we can learn how to fish at their website. Cool!             A student said, "Mr. Jackson, may I see the channel catfish again before you leave?" I replied, "the show is not over until you say so."
