We are still looking to certify lake record largemouth bass (10-pound minimum). We also have an angler recognition program for large channel catfish and bluegill.


Tommy Purcell with a 4.7 pound bass collected at Monroe County Lake during standardized spring sampling on March 12, 2012. The largest bass collected this date was 6.5 pounds.

Tommy Purcell with two nice redear collected at Monroe County Lake during standardized spring sampling. Biologists collected 105 redear exceeding 1/2 pound, the largest of which was 1.4 pounds on March 12, 2012.
