Angler Education in Alabama

Angler education is presented in a variety of ways in Alabama.  The Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division partners with various governmental and non-governmental agencies to have community fishing events, fishing classes and casting classes. Community fishing events provide high quality fishing. Fishing classes are presented in the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshops, and in partnership such as 4-H Sportfishing Clubs, camps, churches, cities, Hooked on Fishing - Not on Drugs® programs, Outdoor Ladies, schools, scouts, Women in the Outdoors (WITO), and YMCAs.  Casting classes are usually presented during physical education classes in schools.

Loaner fishing gear is available from our District Fisheries Offices.
