Books Books about Alabama Fish
Two books have recently been published about the fish in Alabama: Fishes of Alabama and Fishes of Alabama and the Mobile Basin.
Fishes of Alabama documents Alabama's freshwater and some estuarine fishes. Along with a written account of each species and a distribution map, Fishes of Alabama contains 112 color plates in the center of the book, and every couplet in the identification keys is illustrated. Fishes of Alabama is available at retailers including Books-A-Million and Barnes and Noble stores. You may need to look in the "regional" section.
